Discover how a small church plant in the Scottish Highlands became a thriving gospel community.
Without the United Kingdom Partnership, I don’t think church planting could happen in Scotland right now. As people say, Scotland is ‘opportunity rich but resource poor’—and it’s true. The generosity of churches and individuals through the UKP has been vital. But it’s gone far deeper than finance: UKP churches have been generous in prayer, encouragement, friendship, and love. It’s made a massive difference.
Before we even held our first meeting, our vision reached the UKP, and in summer 2021, a minister from First Presbyterian Church in Macon, Georgia, reached out to partner with us. They supported us before we launched, prayed for us, funded us, visited us, and even helped us buy and renovate our building. It's been life-giving on every level—even families visiting and holidaying together.
By God’s grace, we’ve grown to 70–90 regulars, seen people saved, baptised, and discipled, and run vibrant community ministries. More churches have joined the journey, and I’ve had the joy of visiting several—every one of them gospel-hearted and giddy-upping in spirit.
